ALDI MINIROOS KICKOFF – SCHOOL HOLIDAY UPDATE

A reminder that our Aldi Miniroos Kickoff program does not run during school holidays (which start on Friday 23 June)

The next session will be held on Field 1, Lions Stadium on Saturday 15 July, 8am to 8.45am

Enjoy the holiday break!

Lions FC has run a training program for our youngest players aged 3-5 years for over 5 years, most of you would know it as Squirts or Cubs.  Late last year, Football Queensland advised that Squirts would be replaced from 2017 by the Aldi Miniroos Kickoff program.

We have been successful in our application to run the Aldi Miniroos Kickoff program in 2017  –  the program will start after the Easter school holidays (on Saturday 22 April 2017, 8am-8.45am) and will run on Saturdays during school terms for 15 weeks from that date.

To register for this program, please go to the following website  –  www.miniroos.com.au  –  and click on the “Find a Place to Play” button (at the top right corner of the page); enter your postcode or suburb to go to the Program Finder page (as in the screenshot below).  Look on the left-hand side for our club name (QUEENSLAND LIONS FOOTBALL CLUB) or find us on the map; a dialogue box will pop up & you can click through for more information, or to register.

The Aldi Miniroos Kickoff page also has more information on the program itself.

We look forward to welcoming our youngest Lions players after the Easter school holidays!
